What is Gum Paper?

How Gum Paper Works

Activation: Activation: Even moisture softens the adhesive; pressing creates fiber-to-fiber bonding.
Result: Result: Strong hold with a matte, printable face, no liners or sticky residue during handling.
Gum Paper vs. Pressure-Sensitive Labels
- When gum paper shines: Paper-to-paper bonding (cartons, envelopes, labels)
- Cleaner application environments (no exposed tack until moistened)
- Gum paper is fully recyclable there is no release liner like with pressure sensitive.
- Gum paper does require moisture and brief set time
- Best performance on porous substrates; non-porous surfaces may need testing
